MUNCIE, Ind. - Playing with an adjusted line-up in their second match of the season, Eastern Illinois men's tennis lost a road match at Ball State on Friday afternoon at the Northwest YMCA. BSU won 7-0.
EIU fell to 1-1 on the season while Ball State moved to 5-1 on the year.
Ball State won the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. The No. 2 doubles match was left unfinished with the teams tied at 5-5.
Christos Kyrillou and
Thomas Wallace teamed to play at No. 2 doubles for EIU.
Kyrillou played at No. 2 singles for the EIU men losing in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 as Ball State captured all six singles points in straight sets. Wallace played at No. 4 singles for EIU losing 6-3, 6-2.
Charles Courteau played at No. 3 singles and battled in his first set losing 7-6 before falling 6-0 in the second set.
