JOHNSON SCORE 20+ AGAIN
Marvin Johnson led the Panthers in scoring for the fourth straight game as the senior guard finished with 21 points.  It was his second straight 20+ point performance after he had 25 points and ten assists last Saturday against Tennessee State for his fifth double-double of the year.  Johnson's season high was 28 points against SIUE as he has five 20-point game this season.  Johnson has been a jack of all trades for EIU this year as he ranks in the top 15 in the OVC in scoring (7th), rebounding (14th), assists (4th) and steals (6th).  In conference only games those numbers increase as he is second in the OVC in steals while ranking third in scoring and assists.

PANTHERS BATTLE ON THE GLASS
Eastern Illinois held its own on the glass on Thursday night against one of the OVC's top rebounding teams.  JSU ended the game with a plus one margin 46-45.  Over the last four games EIU has a plus seven rebound margin going 2-2 in games against SIUE, Belmont, Tennessee State and Jacksonville State.  EIU has had a different player lead the team in rebounding in each of those games with three double figure rebounding nights.  Marvin Johnson had ten rebounds against SIUE.  Madani Diarra had 11 rebounds against Belmont.  Jordan Skipper-Brown had ten rebounds against Tennessee State.  On Thursday, Mack Smith and Sammy Friday IV each pulled down eight rebounds to lead EIU.
