Eastern Illinois wraps up the 2020-21 season on Saturday afternoon as the Panthers host UT Martin. Both teams were eliminated from the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament picture with losses on Thursday night. EIU fell to 9-17 overall, 6-13 in the OVC. UT Martin dropped to 7-16 overall, 5-14 in the OVC. Prior to the game, EIU will honor the seven seniors and one graduate student that played for the Panthers this season. Set to be honored are

PANTHERS HOT AGAIN FROM THE FIELD
Eastern Illinois shot 54.1 percent from the field in Thursday's game against Southeast Missouri as EIU was 33-of-61 from the field. It marked the third straight game that EIU has shot 50 percent or better from the field after connecting for 57.4 percent last Thursday at Murray State and 55.3 percent at Austin Peay. The difference against SEMO was in 3-point shooting as EIU was 6-of-17 for 35 percent compared to 64 percent nights at Murray State and Austin Peay. For the season EIU has shot 50 percent or better in a game seven times with a season best 62 percent effort on Feb. 6 against Tennessee State.
A PAIR OF PANTHERS WITH 20 OR MORE AGAINST SEMO
Mack Smith and
Jordan Skipper-Brown both cracked the 20-point mark on Thursday night against Southeast Missouri and did so in much different fashions. Smith connected on five 3-pointers scoring a team high 22 points for the second consecutive game. Skipper-Brown was 9-of-12 from the field finishing with 20 points. It was the second time this season that EIU has had two players score 20 or more points in a game (
Marvin Johnson and
Josiah Wallace vs. SIUE). This season five players have scored 20 or more points in a game led by Johnson with five games. Wallace has four, Skipper-Brown has two, Smith has two and
Sammy Friday IV has one.
