CHARLESTON, Ill. - Eastern Illinois (0-4-2, 0-3-2 Summit) tied the Kansas City Roos (2-3-1, 2-1-1 Summit) in an intense 2-2 match Saturday afternoon. Maxwell Allen and Shady Omar each scored goals for the Panthers in today's match. Munir Sherali assisted the Omar goal with a perfect corner. The Panthers will take on Omaha next week on Thursday and Saturday.

BY THE NUMBERS

FROM THE KICK
Eastern Illinois and Kansas City were off and running in the final match against UMKC. The Roos were able to score the first goal of the game off of a penalty kick from a handball in the box. The Roos Jony Munoz was able to score with a perfect shot to the top corner. Omar and Sherali both entered the game as subs and immediately connected for a score. Sherali took the ball out for the corner and put it in the perfect spot for the Omar header. The Panthers and Roos were tied heading into the second half of play.

The Panthers struck first in the second half of play off an Allen goal in the 67th minute. The Roos struck back almost immediately, with another Munoz goal coming from an assist from Kevin Komodi. The Panthers and Roos headed to overtime and were both unable to score. Eastern Illinois managed 14 shots in comparison to the 18 shots by Kansas City.
