CINCINNATI – Eastern Illinois men's tennis wrapped up a busy weekend on Saturday afternoon as the Panthers lost 7-0 at Big East member Xavier.

The Panthers challenged in every set opening the match with a series of 6-4 losses at all three doubles positions.

In singles play, EIU shuffled its line-up with several players sliding up in the line-up after action at Dayton and Northern Kentucky on Friday.

Christos Kyrillou played at No. 3 singles losing in a tiebreak in the first set before dropping a close second set. Matthew Graft beat Kyrillou 7-6 (6-4), 6-4.

Cameron Slabbert battled at No. 6 singles for the Panthers facing Jan Vrba. Slabbert lost the opening set 6-2 before being edged in the second set 7-5.

EIU fell to 2-6 on the season while Xavier moved to 2-3.Â
