CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis played the first of two weekend Ohio Valley Conference road matches on Friday dropping a 6-1 contest at Austin Peay.
 
Rachel Papavasilopoulos won for the Panthers playing at No. 1 singles as she beat Fabienne Schmidt, 6-0, 6-1.
 
Austin Peay opened the match taking the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.   The No. 3 doubles match featuring EIU players Addison Brown and Christine Gouws was left unfinished.
 
Elizaveta Bukraba-Ulanova (No. 2 singles) and Gouws (No. 3 singles) battled in their matches before falling by scores of 6-3, 6-3.  
 
Lauren Ellis playing at No. 6 singles lost 6-4, 6-2.
 
EIU played at Murray State on Saturday.
