CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois men's tennis pushed the top three singles matches to three sets picking up a point in one of the three as the Panthers suffered a hard fought loss at Austin Peay, 5-2.

Austin Peay jumped out in the match by winning the doubles point at No. 1 and No. 3.Â
Daniel Hernandez and
Charles Courteau had their doubles match at No. 2 left unfinished after the Governors won the point.

In singles play the top three singles positions all went to three sets. Frederic Schlossmann held off Hernandez at No. 1 singles beating the senior 3-6, 6-1, 6-1.

Christos Kyrillou won his third straight singles match in OVC play at No. 2 singles beating Oliver Andersson in a three set tiebreak. Kyrillou won 5-7, 6-4, 11-9.

In No. 3 singles Anton Damberg held off
Charles Courteau winning in three sets by a 5-7, 6-4, 10-2 score.

Thomas Wallace winning 6-0, 6-2.
