LOUISVILLE, KY -- Eastern Illinois Men's Soccer lost 2-1 on the road to the Bellarmine Knights on Sunday afternoon. With the defeat, the Panthers drop to 0-4 on the season.
The match was a defensive slugfest for much of the afternoon as neither team was able to get much consistent offense going. That all changed when

Bellarmine outshot EIU 16-12, including a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Kirschner led the Panthers with four shots, including two on goal.Â
Shady Omar and
Chad Hamler each had two shots for EIU, including one shot on goal from Omar.Â
Felipe Kerr Lourenco also had a shot on goal for the Panthers.
EIU now heads to Springfield, MO to take on the Missouri State Bears on Wednesday, September 15. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 pm.
