Final Results
Eastern Illinois women's golf opened the 2021 fall season this week playing at the Missouri State / Payne Stewart Memorial Tournament. The 54-hole event was played at the Par 71, 6,021 yard Twin Oaks Country Club.
Ryanne Jackson was the Panthers top finisher in 73rd after carding a 54-hole total of 246. Jackson opened the tournament with a round of 77 before closing with rounds of 85 and 84.
Monique Peterson closed with a round of 77 as she was two strokes behind Jackson in a tie for 74th. Peterson opened with a round of 79 but struggled on Monday afternoon with a round of 92 to finish at 248.
Isabel Spanburg was tied for 79th with a total of 256. She closed the tournament with back-to-back rounds of 85.
Freshmen
Katelind Winterland and
Haley Hoagland rounded out the EIU golfers at the opening weekend event with both playing their first collegiate events. Winterland was 82nd with a total of 262. Her best round was on the opening 18 holes with a score of 85. Hoagland was 83rd with her best round of 98 coming on Monday afternoon.
Oral Roberts won the team title as EIU placed 16th in the field. Abby Cavaiani of host Missouri State was the individual medalist with a 54-hole total of two-under, 211.
