GAME 15
Eastern Illinois returns to action on Thursday after a two-week layoff due to COVID health and safety protocols.  The Panthers will host SIUE at First Mid Court at Lantz Arena with the game televised on ESPNU as part of the OVC's season TV package.  EIU enters at 2-12 overall, 0-1 in the OVC after dropping its league opener on Dec. 29 at Morehead State.  SIUE enters at 6-8 overall, 0-1 in the OVC after dropping its league opener this past Saturday to Murray State.   Both EIU and SIUE have had three OVC games postponed already this season due to COVID health and safety protocols.  

LANE WITH 20 AT MOREHEAD STATE
CJ Lane was the Panthers leading scorer in their OVC opener at Morehead State.  Lane finished with a season-high 20 points connecting on 4-of-5 from 3-point range.  It was fourth double figure scoring game this season for Lane as he became just the third EIU player this season to score 20 or more points in a game this season (Kejuan Clements 25 vs. North Park and Sammy Friday IV 21 vs. Rockford).  

COVID POSTPONEMENTS
Eastern Illinois returns to action this Thursday after having three games postponed due to COVID health and safety protocols.  EIU will now make up its Murray State game on Jan. 17, its Belmont contest on Jan. 24 and its Tennessee Tech game on Feb. 7.

LENGTH BETWEEN HOME GAMES 
Eastern Illinois will have 40 calendar days between home games when the Panthers tip off on Thursday against SIUE.  EIU's last home game was Dec. 4 against North Park with two home games in January postponed due to COVID.  The 40 days is tied for the second longest stint between home games in the NCAA this season with Northwestern State.  Cal Poly has the longest stint this season at 59 days between home games.
