EAST LANSING, Mich. – Eastern Illinois men's tennis opened its spring season on Friday evening facing Big Ten member Michigan State.   Michigan State won 7-0.

Leighton Brandon pushed his match at No. 1 singles to three sets before falling to Anthony Pero, 5-7, 6-3, 10-6.

Tyler Carlin battled at No. 4 singles falling in two sets 6-4, 6-1.  Thomas Wallace played at No. 5 singles and dropped his match in two sets 6-3, 6-4.

Wallace played with Max Pilipovic-Kljajic at No. 3 singles with the pair losing a closely contest match 6-4.

EIU will return to action next Friday against Ball State.
