CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois peppered the goal with nine shots on goal and another three scoring chances that hit the post or crossbar as the Panthers played to a 0-0 draw with Lindenwood on Thursday afternoon in the final home match of the season for EIU.

Lindenwood goalkeeper Sam Blazek was up to the task making all nine saves for the Lions for the shutout while EIU goalkeeper
Daniela Bermeo turned away just one Lindenwood shot on goal to record her sixth shutout of the season.

Cam Korhorn had four of the Panthers shots on goal including three in the opening half.Â
Sarah Hagg hit the crossbar on a free kick that bounced in front of the goal for a
Kenzie Balcerak header that was scooped up by Blazek.Â

Balcerak and
Ava Hensley both added two shots on goal for EIU which had 17 total shots in the match.

Hannah Scholer had the lone shot on goal for Lindenwood in the opening half while Lily Sutter had the three of the Lions five total shots in the match.

EIU moved to 2-5-8 on the season, 0-3-4 in the OVC. The eight ties are now tied for the most in the NCAA this season with Bellarmine. The Panthers play at Southern Indiana on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the final regular season match which could decide the final spot in this year's OVC Tournament field.

Lindenwood wrapped up its regular season with a 5-7-5 record, 2-2-4 in the OVC as the Lions have already qualified for the OVC Tournament.
