GAME 25
Eastern Illinois hosts UT Martin on Saturday afternoon as both teams look to snap short losing skids as both teams battle to make the field for this year's Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in Evansville, Indiana.  EIU has lost three straight following a pair of losses to Tennessee Tech earlier this week.  EIU enters the weekend at 4-20 overall, 2-9 in the OVC.  UT Martin has lost two straight after a Thursday night loss at SIUE.  The Skyhawks are 8-17 overall, 4-9 in the OVC.   EIU won the first meeting between the schools on Jan. 27.

CHARLES CHASING EIU CAREER TOP TEN
Kashawn Charles knocked down three 3-pointers on Thursday against Tennessee Tech as the fifth year player inches towards the EIU career top ten in 3-pointers made.  Charles now has 137 career 3's and ranks 12th on the EIU career list.  Gerald Jones is ranked 10th with 143 career 3-pointers and Montell Goodwin in 11th with 142 on the list just ahead of Charles.  He scored 14 points against TTU for his sixth double figure game this season.

PANTHERS PICK UP DOUBLE DIGIT STEALS
Eastern Illinois had ten steals on Thursday night against Tennessee Tech forcing a total of 19 turnovers.  The Panthers converted those TTU turnovers into 19 points.   It was the fourth time this season that EIU has had double figure steals.  The Panthers season high was 13 steals against SIUE while the last double figure steals game was ten against Murray State (Jan. 17).  EIU is averaging 6.2 steals per game.

EIU WITH SEASON LOW TURNOVER TOTAL
Eastern Illinois finished with a season low six turnovers on Thursday against Tennessee Tech.  It marked the first time since Feb. 18, 2021 at Murray State (8 turnovers) that EIU has played a game with single digit turnovers (27 games).  EIU has been averaging 16.2 turnovers per game this season with the previous season low of 11 against SIUE on Jan. 13.
