PEKIN, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis lost its second tightly contested match of the day on Saturday evening falling to Bradley 4-2 at the Parkside Fitness Center.
Bradley won the doubles point winning two of the three matches. The Braves won at No. 3 doubles with EIU squaring the doubles competition with a win at No. 2 doubles by
Addison Brown and
Christine Gouws. Bradley secured the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles.
In singles play EIU jumped in front with wins at the No. 3 and No. 2 singles spots.
Gouws won at No. 3 singles beating Madalena Andrade 6-2, 7-5.
Elizaveta Bukraba-Ulanova won at No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-1.
Bradley was able to even the match at 2-2 with a win at No. 5 singles and then took control of the contest with a three set win at No. 1 singles.  Nikki Perlwitz closed out the match winning at No. 6 singles.
EIU fell to 0-8 on the season with the loss. Bradley improved to 3-5.
