Eastern Illinois wraps up its brutal road trip of four games in eight days on Monday night as the Panthers will play a make-up contest at SIUE. The game was originally scheduled for Feb. 3 but was postponed due to the winter storm in the area. This will be EIU's fifth Monday make-up this winter based on COVID or weather, the Panthers are 0-4 in the other games. EIU lost both games on its weekend trip to Nashville to stand at 5-23 overall, 3-12 in the OVC. SIUE enters at 9-19 overall, 3-12 in the OVC.
CLEMENTS CONSISTENT WITH ASSISTS
Guard
Kejuan Clements finished with 12 points and four assists on Saturday at Tennessee State. It was the third time in the last four games that Clements has scored in double figures. The junior college transfer is fourth in the OVC in assists at 4.6 per game and has passed out four or more assists in 13 straight games. His season high is 11 vs. North Park.
BOLIS WITH ANOTHER DOUBLE FIGURE DAY
Rodolfo Bolis had his third double figure scoring game in the last six games finishing with ten points on Saturday at Tennessee State. Bolis scored eight points in the first half and finished with seven rebounds. He played only 18 minutes in the game missing a large portion of the second half with an illness. Bolis had his first career double-double on Feb. 12 with 13 points and 11 rebounds against UT Martin. He is EIU's leader in rebounds and steals.
PANTHERS WIN REBOUNDING BATTLE AT TSU
Eastern Illinois won the battle on the glass on Saturday at Tennessee State as the Panthers finished with a 29-26 rebounding edge.
Rodolfo Bolis pulled down seven rebounds while
Paul Bizimana had six rebounds. It was just the sixth time this season that EIU has won the rebounding battle and second time since late November. On the season EIU is being outrebounded by an average of 7.4 rebounds per game.
