Rachel Papavasilopoulos unable to complete her match at No. 1 singles due to injury.
The Panthers did pick up wins at the No. 5 and 6 spots in the order with competitive two-set matches at No. 3 and No. 4.
Brittany Steven won the first point of the match for EIU picking up a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles over Lauren Carelli.
The Panthers final point would come in the final match of the day as
Lauren Ellis beat Viktoria Kliimand in a third set super tiebreak winning 4-6, 6-3, 10-7.
The Panthers lost tough two set matches at No. 3 singles with
Christine Gouws falling 6-3, 7-5 and at No. 4 singles with
Addison Brown losing 6-2, 7-5.
Belmont was able to win the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
EIU is now 3-17 on the season, 1-5 in the OVC. Belmont is 12-7 overall, 5-2 in the OVC.
