EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's soccer finished with 11 shots on goal on Sunday afternoon but the Panthers were unable to get one past SIUE goalkeeper Taylor Spiller during a 1-0 loss in Ohio Valley Conference play.

EIU fell to 2-5-4 on the season, 0-3 in the OVC. SIUE improved to 4-4-2 on the season, 3-0 in the OVC.

The Cougars would score the only goal of the match with an early attack as Lily Schnieders scored with a right foot shot to the top center of the goal just two and a half minutes into the contest. Kasey Neidhardt provided the assist on the goal.

EIU would place eight of its 11 shots on goal in the second half as they pressed the tempo trying to collect the equalizer in the match.
