MUNCIE, Ind. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis wrapped up its two matches for the weekend on Sunday afternoon with a 6-1 loss at Ball State.

Madeline Monroy posted the win for EIU playing at No. 5 singles. Monroy won 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 over Jacqueline Pearsall.

Christine Gouws forced her match to three sets at No. 1 singles before falling 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 to Emma Peeler.

Elizaveta Bukraba-Ulanova and
Jemma Booth both lost their singles matches in two sets, but both had tough losses with an opening set 7-5 loss before a second set defeat. Bukraba-Ulanova lost at No. 2 singles 7-5, 6-2. Booth lost at No. 3 singles 7-5, 6-1.

Ball State won the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. The No. 3 doubles match was left unfinished with EIU's team of Booth and
Lauren Ellis trailing 5-4.Â
