The Eastern Illinois women's swimming program had three athletes recognized as Academic All-District honorees as College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) released its men's and women's swimming Academic All-District rolls this week. Earning Academic All-District honors for the Panthers were
Phoebe Croston,
Autumn Grinter and
Corinne Staneart.
Both EIU players will be on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration. EIU has had 47 Academic All-Americans including one from swimming with Amanda Dore (Bos) selected in 2001.
Croston holds a 3.929 GPA in Exercise Science. Grinter holds a 3.79 GPA in Finance. Staneart holds a 3.86 GPA in Communication Disorders Science.
EIU men's and women's swimming wrapped up competition at the 2023 Summit League Championships last week with the Panthers setting 11 school records at the meet.
