The Eastern Illinois women's golf team jumps back into action on Monday and Tuesday as the Panthers will play their second event of the spring season at the Nevel Meade Invite hosted by Cleveland State.

The 54-hole event will include 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday at the Par 72, 5,861 yard Nevel Meade Golf Club in Prospect, Ky.

The tournament will include host Cleveland State, Bowling Green, Bellarmine, Central Michigan, Dayton, Detroit Mercy, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Indiana State, Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, Northern Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

EIU opened the spring season in late February at the Gardner-Webb Bright Creek Classic in North Carolina.  Â
Ashley Chen was EIU's top finisher at the event in a tie for 25th.  She is currently EIU's top golfer on the season followed by fellow freshman
Ava Boehm.

Isabel Spanburg currently have the best individual rounds of the year. Chen shot 78 at the Evansville Braun Intercollegiate.  Spanburg shot 78 at the SIUE Saluki Fall invite.
