CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis won its third straight match as the Panthers picked up a non-conference 7-0 win over DePauw on Tuesday evening in a match played at the Lantz Indoor Fieldhouse.
EIU improved to 10-8 and will return to Ohio Valley Conference action this weekend hosting Lindenwood.
EIU won all three doubles matches to win the point with
Christine Gouws and
Addison Brown winning 6-2 at No. 1 doubles to clinch the overall point.Â
Madeline Monroy and
Brittany Steven won the first doubles match winning 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
In singles play EIU clinched the match winning the first three singles matches in two sets with
Elizaveta Bukraba-Ulanova clinching the overall match with her 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles.
Monroy was the fourth Panthers player to win in two sets winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.
EIU's final two points came with wins in three sets.Â
Lauren Ellis won at No. 5 singles 5-7, 6-3, 10-3.Â
Emma Pilipovic-Kljajic won at No. 6 singles won 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 10-6.
