Learn More About Beautiful Lives Project
Earlier this week Eastern Illinois football coaches and players teamed up with the Beautiful Lives Project to host a group of individuals with disabilities in a day of fun on the football. The football team becomes the second EIU athletic team to partner with the BLP joining the men's basketball team which hosted an event last October.
Bryce Weiler is the founder of the organization and helps to spearhead events like these around the nation. A long-time friend of EIU head coach Marty Simmons from when their paths crossed at the University of Evansville, Weiler is an inspiration to many as he continues to help provide these types of opportunities.
Thanks to Bryce and the Beautiful Lives Project for allowing EIU Athletics to take part in this event.
Check out some of the news coverage of the event from local TV stations WAND-TV in Decatur and WCIA-TV in Champaign.
