NASHVILLE – Eastern Illinois men's tennis wrapped up its weekend trip to Music City on Sunday morning as the Panthers suffered a 7-0 loss at Tennessee State in Horizon League play.

EIU lost the doubles point with
Alex Dinkov and
Pau Riera playing competitively at No. 2 doubles before losing 6-4.Â
Cameron Slabbert and
Thomas Wallace were even at 4-4 at No. 1 doubles when the Tigers clinched the point.

Wallace continued his solid weekend play forcing his match at No. 5 singles to three sets before suffering the loss. Wallace secured EIU's lone point on Saturday at Belmont. He would fall 6-7, 6-0, 10-4 to Diego Britt-Alvarez on Sunday.

Dinkov also pushed his match to three sets playing at No. 4 singles before losing to Taj Hibbert. Hibbert would win 0-6, 6-0, 6-1.Â

EIU falls to 5-10 on the season, 1-4 in the Horizon League. The Panthers will host these same two teams next weekend at the Rex Darling Courts in Charleston.Â
