CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois men's tennis lost the first of two home weekend matches on Friday afternoon as the Panthers were able to play for the first time this spring outdoors at home at the Rex Darling Courts.

Tennessee State completed the season sweep over EIU winning 7-0 as EIU will now host Belmont on Saturday morning for its final home match of the year.

TSU captured the doubles point winning at No. 3 and No. 2 doubles. EIU's No. 1 doubles of
Cameron Slabbert and
Thomas Wallace were trailing 5-4 when their match was left unfinished due to TSU winning the point.

In singles play, TSU was able to win all six singles points in two sets.

Pau Riera, playing at No. 2 singles, pushed his second set to 7-5 before the loss to Daniel Caraballo losing 6-3, 7-5.
