Eastern Illinois men's basketball has released the non-conference portion of its 2023-24 schedule which includes trips to historic Phog Allen Fieldhouse, State Farm Center along with six home games at First Mid Court at Lantz Arena.
For the second consecutive year EIU will open the season just up the road at Illinois with the season opener on Monday, November 6. The opening two weeks also include trips to Loyola Chicago (Nov. 11) and Illinois State (Nov. 15) after the home opener on Wednesday, Nov. 8 against Monmouth (Ill.).
The Panthers will play in an in-season MTE event at Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 18 and 19 facing host Miami and Coppin State. After a home game Thanksgiving weekend against Eureka College (Nov. 25), the Panthers will play at Kansas on Nov. 28.
December opens with four straight home games for Eastern Illinois hosting UHSP (Dec. 2), IUPUI (Dec. 7), Central Arkansas (Dec. 10) and Blackburn College (Dec. 17). The non-conference season wraps up with a trip on Dec. 21 to face Big 12 member Iowa State.
The Ohio Valley Conference schedule will be released next week and season ticket renewals for basketball will begin in September.
