Eastern Illinois Baseball has added seven pitchers to its 2024 roster.

Joining the Panthers this fall are Kole Bradley, Eli Cartwright, Christian Carew, Elijah Green, Mitchel Hemmen, Casey Perrenoud, and Cade Turner.

EIU won a school record 38 games last season and played in its third NCAA Regional at the NCAA Division I level.

Kole Bradley
Left-hander Kole Bradley joins the Panthers pitching staff after spending last season at Iowa Central Community College. During the 2023 campaign, Kole posted a record of 3-0 with one save. He recorded 32 strikeouts in 16.2 innings of action, for an average of nearly two K's per inning. Bradley finished the season with a 3.78 ERA.

Eli Cartwright
Eli Cartwright joins the EIU baseball program by way of Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa Junior College. The lefty posted an 8-5 record in 2023, recording an impressive 103 strikeouts through 76.2 innings pitched with an ERA of 3.72.

Christian Carew
Right-handed pitcher Christian Crews joins the Panthers from Northeast Community College. Last season, Carew pitched 64.1 innings and compiled a record of 5-2. He struck out 65 batters and ended the campaign with an ERA of 4.48. He also made 14 appearances in 2021, including 13 starts, and recorded 42 strikeouts.

Elijah Green
Elijah Green joins the Panthers from Southeastern Community College. In 2022, the righty finished the season with a 3-2 record in 40.2 innings pitched while collecting 45 strikeouts.

Mitchel Hemmen
Right-hander Mitchel Hemmen joins the EIU pitching staff as a transfer from Ohio University. During his time with the Bobcats, Hemmen made 12 appearances for a total of 33.1 innings pitched, including six starts. He finished the 2023 season with a record of 2-0. Prior to Ohio, Hemmen spent two years at John A. Logan College where he recorded 12 wins and 140 strikeouts.

Casey Perrenoud
A Southeastern Community College product, Casey Perrenoud joins the Panthers after a stellar 2023 campaign, in which he posted a 12-2 record. He was able to record 57 strikeouts and a 2.46 ERA through 84 innings of work. The right-hander made another 10 appearances in 2022, a season in which he recorded a 3-2 record with 38 strikeouts and a 3.63 ERA.
 
Cade Turner
Another right-hander, Cade Turner comes to EIU by way of Kirkwood Community College. During his time at Kirkwood, Turner compiled a 7-2 record. He struck out a total of 66 batters over two seasons with the Eagles. He finished the 2023 campaign with a 3.86 ERA.
