2024 EIU Football Schedule 

Eastern Illinois football has released its complete schedule for the 2024 season with the finalization of the Panthers four non-conference games for the upcoming fall season.
 
Earlier this month the Big South-OVC Football Association released the conference portion of the 2024 schedule with all members set to play an eight-game conference schedule with EIU's first conference game on Sept. 28 hosting Lindenwood.
 
The Panthers had non-conference games set with Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana State and Northwestern but were adjusting dates for those games based on some conference realignment and late conference membership movement.
 
Those four non-conference dates have now been set as EIU will open the season at Illinois with a current scheduled date of Saturday, August 31 with the ability to adjust that start date based on TV scheduling.
 
EIU will then host Indiana State on Sept. 7 for the Panthers home opener at O'Brien Field, one of five home games for the 2024 season.
 
The remaining two non-conference games will be on the road with EIU playing at Northwestern on Sept. 14 and at Illinois State on Sept. 21 for the Mid-America Classic.
 
The four home Big South-OVC games will be against Lindenwood (Sept. 28), Southeast Missouri (Oct. 5), Western Illinois (Nov. 2) and Charleston Southern (Nov.16).
 
EIU's four conference road games will be at Tennessee State (Oct. 12), UT Martin (Oct. 26), Gardner-Webb (Nov. 9) and Tennessee Tech (Nov. 23).
 
Start times and home promotion dates (Homecoming / Family Weekend / Hall of Fame) will be announced in the coming weeks with season ticket renewals and sales set to begin in April.
 
EIU posted an 8-3 record last season and was ranked No. 24 in the final FCS Coaches Top 25 poll.
