Eastern Illinois women's tennis played with an adjusted line-up and short on available players for the second straight match as they lost 7-0 to Kansas City with losses in the five points contested on the court.
EIU was short available players for the weekend based on a combination of player illness and injury.
Michelle Kostadinova moved up to play at No. 1 singles for the second straight match. Prior to the weekend the freshman had never played higher than No. 4 in the Panthers playing order.
Kostadinova lost 6-3, 6-1 to Catherine Chrobak at No. 1 singles.
Charleigh Fay battled in her opening set at No. 2 singles losing 7-5. She dropped the second set 6-2 losing the match to Laura Munoz-Baroja.
Luisa Renovales Salazar and
Emma Pilipovic-Kljajic rounded out the singles players competing at No. 3 and No. 4 singles for the Panthers.
Kansas City won the doubles winning at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles with the No. 3 match not contested. Singles at No. 5 and No. 6 were not contested either.
