Eastern Illinois men's tennis played its final non-conference match of the season on Sunday as the Panthers lost on the road at Butler, 6-1.

Cameron Slabbert picked up the win for the Panthers playing at No. 3 singles.  Slabbert beat Borja Miralles 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 as one of four singles matches that went to three sets.

Butler claimed the doubles point winning at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles leaving the No. 3 doubles match unfinished with EIU holding a 5-3 lead.Â
Pau Riera and
William Hays played at No. 3 doubles for EIU.

Riera would be one of the four singles contests that went to three sets as he lost at No. 1 singles to Alvaro Huerta Vadillo – 5-7, 6-3, 6-4.

Zach White lost at No. 4 singles for EIU in three sets dropping his contest to Rah Konakanchi – 6-4, 2-6, 6-2.

The final match to go to three sets was at No. five singles with
Thomas Wallace falling to Aiden William – 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
