OXFORD, Miss. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis faced SEC member Ole Miss on Saturday evening with the Panthers losing 7-0 to the Rebels.
Ole Miss won the doubles point winning the No. 1 and No. 3 contests. The No. 2 doubles match was left unfinished after Ole Miss clinched the point. The contest was tied 4-4 with
Charleigh Fay and
Michelle Kostadinova competing at No. 2 doubles for the Panthers.
In singles play the Rebels won all six matches in two sets.
Aleyla Wooten pushed her opening set to a tie-break playing at No. 3 singles against Emma Kette before losing 7-6 (7-5), 6-1.
Luisa Renovales Salazar battled at No. 5 singles against Reka Zadori losing 6-3, 6-0.
Kostadinova played at No. 2 singles falling 6-3, 6-1 to Anaella Leclercq.
