Eastern Illinois men's golf shaved four strokes off its day one total as they Panthers closed the second day of play at the 2024 Ohio Valley Conference Championship played at the RTJ Golf Trail Shoals Course.
 
EIU sits in 11th place following 36-holes of action as the Panthers played with only four scored golfers on Monday.
 
Trey Oswald had to withdraw from the field leaving EIU with only four golfers.
 
Keegan Gowin led EIU for the second straight day shooting a 76 to stand tied for 38th with a 36-hole score of 155.
 
Parker Hughes shot a round a 82 on Monday to stand at 163 after 36-holes and tied for 43rd.
 
Logan Beniek and Ian Hollander were the final two scored EIU golfers ranking 49th and 50th in the field.
 
Beniek shot a second round of 80 to hold a total of 166.
 
Hollander shot 88 and had a 36-hole score of 175.
 
Five total players are now under par in the tournament led by Archie Smith of Little Rock with a six-under par total of 138.
 
Little Rock also leads the team standings with a seven stroke lead over Tennessee Tech.
