Ian Hollander wrapped up a successful tournament for Eastern Illinois men's golf as the junior placed second as an individual while leading the Panthers to a second place team finish.

Hollander was consistent throughout the 54-hole event shooting rounds of 74, 74 and 75 to post a 54-hole score of 223.  He finished just one stroke behind medalist Wesley Rodrigues of Alabama State.  Hollander was tied for second with fellow Ohio Valley Conference golfer Mateo Rascon on Western Illinois.  It was the second time this fall that the junior has finished as EIU's top golfer.

It was EIU's first top two individual finish in a tournament since Romeo Perez was second at the 36-hole Butler Benbow Tournament in March 2020.  The last EIU individual to finish second or better in a 54-hole event was Alvaro Hernandez in April 2017 with a second place finish at the WIU Mussatto Classic.

Reis Claybrooke, playing as an individual, was EIU's second best finisher in the field in fifth place.  The freshman shot rounds of even par 72, 76 and 78 to post a round of 226.

Fellow freshman Luke Watson had his second Top Ten finish this fall placing ninth with a 54-hole score of 231.  His best round was a 73 on the opening 18 holes.

Jack Yewchuk gave the Panthers four golfers in the top ten finishers as he tied for 10th with a score of 232.  Yewchuk's best round was an opening 74.

Alex Siatos was tied for 25th with a score of 242 with a top round of 75 during the middle 18 holes of action.

Cole Jaworski was tied for 27th to round out the EIU golfers in the tournament.  He shot a 243 with a top round on Monday afternoon of 76.

Davenport was the team champion followed by Eastern Illinois.
