Aleyla Wooten moved to 4-0 in Ohio Valley Conference play for the Eastern Illinois women's tennis team as she picked up a win on Saturday in the Panthers 6-1 conference loss at SIUE.
Wooten won at No. 2 singles beating Jordan Schifano, 6-3, 6-2, to secure the lone point of the match for EIU.
SIUE won all three doubles matches with Wooten playing with
Charleigh Fay at No. 2 doubles for EIU and losing 7-6 in the final doubles contest to be decided.
Fay lost playing at No. 3 singles to Amelia Gorman falling 6-2, 7-6.
SIUE won at No. 1 singles by retirement and claimed the point at No. 6 singles as EIU did not field a player in that position in the playing order following an injury in doubles which forced EIU to be a player short in singles.
EIU hosts Tennessee State for senior day at 1 pm on Sunday at Darling Courts.
