Eastern Illinois women's tennis hosted Tennessee State on Sunday afternoon as the Panthers honored senior Addison Brown prior to the match.
 
Mother nature ended up being a large part of the day as Tennessee State picked up a 5-2 win over Eastern Illinois as the match was played both outdoors and indoors.
 
The contest started outside with TSU winning the doubles point and all three doubles contests were completed on the Rex Darling Tennis Courts surface.
 
EIU won at No. 2 doubles with Aleyla Wooten and Charleigh Fay picking up the win 6-1.  TSU won the overall doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
 
In singles play EIU collected wins at the top two positions in the playing order as all matches began outside but due to rain had to be completed inside the Lantz Indoor Fieldhouse.
 
Brown won on senior day with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Warona Mdlulwa at No. 1 singles.
 
Wooten improved to 5-0 in OVC singles play with her win at No. 2 doubles over Franka Sindicic.  Wooten won 6-2, 6-1.
 
TSU picked up points on the court at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles with a win by default at No. 6 singles as the Panthers were one player short in singles action.
