EUGENE, Ore. – Eastern Illinois senior Ramsey Hunt closed out his outdoor track & field career on Wednesday night with a 10th place finish at the NCAA National Championships.

Hunt posted his best jump of 24'11.25 on his second of three jumps.  The jump landed him in 10th place at the national meet.

Hunt will become the latest Panther to earn All-American honors based on his finish when the awards are announced next week following the championship.

He was the fifth EIU athlete all-time to qualify for the National Championships in the long jump and the first at the NCAA Division I level.  Darrell Brown (1974) and Toni Ababio (1975) both won NCAA Division II National Championships in the long jump.
