Eastern Illinois softball head coach Kristi Paulson has announced the addition of three players that will be joining the Panthers roster this fall.

Set to play this upcoming season are Jenna Teakert, Bryanna French and Rylie Schipp.  Those three join the Panthers six players that were added back in the NCAA early signing period in November – Abbi Hatton, Ava Hartman, Morgan Hance, Kira Manganello, Maddux Marshall and Jersey Summers.

Teakert (Chesterfield, Mo.) comes to EIU following one season at Florida Southwestern State College.  She played in 29 games hitting .239 with eight RBI.  Behind the plate as a catcher she did not commit an error for the entire season.  Teakert attended Parkway North High School in St. Louis where she was a two-time All-State selection in softball and placed third in the state in the javelin for track & field.

French (Centralia, Ill.) comes to EIU following two seasons at Lake Land College in Mattoon.  This past season French earned second team NJCAA Division I All-American honors pitching the Lakers back to the JUCO World Series.  She posted a 22-6 record with a 1.04 ERA and two saves during the season.  During her freshman season French was 15-3 in the circle with a 2.67 ERA.  She attended Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School.

Schipp (Santa Claus, Ind.) comes to EIU following a multi-sport career at Heritage Hills High School.  She earned 11 varsity letters and was a six time All-Conference selection across the sports of softball, basketball and soccer.  Schipp helped lead her softball team to a pair of sectional championships including one as a senior.  She added All-District and All-Southwest Indiana honors in her playing career.
