Ashlyn Hoover made six saves in goal including a big save in the final 40 seconds as Eastern Illinois ended its non-conference slate with a 0-0 draw at Indiana State.

The Sycamores had six shots on goal that Hoover turned away for her third shutout of the season.  The final shot on goal came from Audrey Stevens which Hoover punched up over the crossbar for the final save.

EIU pressed offensively in the final 15 minutes finishing with a total of seven shots including two on goal.

Abby Reinl and Morgan Rinker had the two shots on goal for the Panthers (2-4-3) while Ella Dwyer had a team best two total shots.

Maddie Alexander picked up the shutout in goal for Indiana State (4-2-2).

EIU opens OVC play on Sept. 22 at Morehead State.
