Eastern Illinois men's golf returns to action for its second tournament of the fall season as the Panthers get set to play in the Grover Page Classic hosted by UT Martin. The 54-hole event will be played on Monday and Tuesday – Sept. 16-17 at the Jackson Country Club.
This year's event is the 21st installment of the tournament and is the 15th consecutive year that the event has been held at the Jackson Country Club, a par-72 course playing at 6,849 yards.
A total of 15 teams and 99 players will make up the 2024 Grover Page Classic as Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, Missouri State, Morehead State, Murray State, New Orleans, Presbyterian, SIUE, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Indiana, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and West Georgia join host UT Martin in the tournament field.
EIU opened the 2024 fall season last week at the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invite.
Trey Oswald was EIU's top golfer with a 54-hole total of 222 with a low round of one-over par 72. Newcomer
Jack Yewchuk had the best round of the event for EIU carding a second round 69, two under par.
