Eastern Illinois women's tennis lost the first of what will be three weekend matches on Saturday afternoon with a 7-0 setback at Northern Illinois.
 
EIU lost two of the three doubles points with the Panthers winning at No. 1 doubles with 
Aleyla Wooten and 
Michelle Kostadinova winning 7-5. 
 
NIU clinched the overall doubles point winning at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
 
In singles play EIU had to move players up one spot in their order due to injury.  Two EIU players pushed their matches to three sets at No. 1 and No. 4 singles.
 
Ornella Lomenzo played well for the second straight week moving up to No. 1 singles.  She lost 6-1, 5-7, 10-4 to Maria Dzemeshkevich.
 
Playing at No. 4 singles 
Luisa Renovales Salazar lost in three sets to Reagan Welch with a match score of 6-3, 4-6, 10-4.
