Eastern Illinois men's tennis picked up its first win of the 2025 season on Sunday afternoon with a 7-0 win over Judson University in a match played at the NIU Tennis Center in DeKalb.
EIU opened winning the doubles point with victories in all three doubles matches.
In singles play EIU captured all six matches in two sets with
Pieke Bouman and
Alex Aldaz turning in strong performances at the top two spots in the order. Bouman won 6-2, 6-1 while Aldaz won 6-2, 6-0.
William Hays moved in to play at the No. 6 singles spot after winning at No. 3 doubles with
Fabien Planchard. Hays won 6-2, 6-0 in the final spot in the playing order.Â
Zach White picked up his second win of the weekend with a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 3 singles.
Tyler Carlin won at No. 4 singles and
Ludolph Wiggett won at No. 5 singles.
