Corinne Staneart has been named Kwik Star Summit League Women's Peak Swimmer of the Week after her performance at Southern Indiana on Saturday. She is the first EIU swimmer to take home the honor this season.

Staneart set a new EIU school record with a time of 57.70 in the 100 individual medley, which was also the fastest time in the Summit League this season.

She also posted a first-place finish in the 50 fly with a time of 25.55, which is the fourth fastest mark in the conference this season.

Staneart added a silver medal finish as well with a time of 58.49 in the 100 fly.

This marks the second time in her career that Staneart has been named Swimmer of the Week, as she also earned the award as a sophomore.

The Panthers will be back in action this Friday at Evansville. The event is set to get underway at 1 p.m. at Deaconess Aquatic Center.
