For the second straight Sunday afternoon Eastern Illinois men's soccer picked up a 2-0 Ohio Valley Conference win as the Panthers shutout Southern Indiana at Lakeside Field.

The win moved EIU to 3-7-3 overall, 2-3-2 in the OVC.  USI dropped to 2-8-4 overall, 1-2-4 in the OVC.

EIU applied offensive pressure most of the contest  with 15 total shots including 11 shots on goal.

Adam Boykin had four shots on goal breaking through with the Panthers first tally in the 19th minute as he finished off a cross by Cland Iwasaki that had a quick touch by Manuel Corderio to Boykin's foot for the goal.

Fabricio Roberti tacked on the Panthers insurance goal in the final four minutes as he created a turnover in the USI zone and eventually beat the Screaming Eagles goalkeeper in a one-on-one for the goal.

Lucas Ortiz had two saves as EIU's defense did a good job of not allowing clean shots on goal during the match.

Edin Cvorovic and Oliver Church had the two USI shots on goal in the match.
