Eastern Illinois women's soccer will play as the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Ohio Valley Conference tournament as the Panthers lost on the road, 2-0, at Tennessee Tech in the final match of the regular season.
EIU (8-7-3, 5-3-1 OVC) had four shots on goal in the final match with
Casey Kittridge,
Camylle Graves,
Ella Dwyer and
Amelia Mundo credited with the shots on goal.
Goalkeeper
Ella Kratochvil made three saves while allowing the two goals, the most the junior has allowed in an OVC contest this season.
Maggie Conrad posted the shutout for the Golden Eagles (6-6-7, 6-0-3 OVC) as they won the regular season OVC title and will host the semifinal and championship rounds of the OVC Tournament.
Natalie Howard scored what proved to be the match winner in the 15th minute. Kate Toney added the second goal in the 54th minute.
EIU will host an OVC Tournament quarterfinal match next Sunday at 11:30 am at Lakeside Field.
