Panthers volleyball went 3-0 on the week, beating Western Illinois and Little Rock. As a result, Ariadna Pereles was named OVC Defensive Player of the Week for her impressive performances.  

During this past week, Pereles recorded 78 digs (6.5 per set) in the three matches. The sophomore libero has been a staple in coach Ryan Millar's rotation throughout the whole season. Against Western Illinois, Ariadna produced 27 digs, 7 assists, and 1 kill. On Friday night, the Panthers traveled to Little Rock, in which Pereles recorded 25 digs, followed by a 26-dig performance to close out the weekend. EIU went 3-0 over the past week, moving the Panthers into sole possession of second place with a few weeks remaining in the regular season.
