For the second time this season Eastern Illinois men's soccer has collected an Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week award.
 
Junior Gui Gragnano picked up the award on Tuesday (Oct. 28) following his performance in Saturday's 3-1 win over Western Illinois.
 
Gragnano scored a pair of goals, both coming in the final 13 minutes, as the Panthers remained unbeaten over their last four matches. 
 
Gragnano scored what proved to be the match winner with 13 minutes remaining before adding an insurance goal with just over six minutes left in the match.
 
It was EIU's first multi-goal match of the season as Gragnano is now tied for the team lead with three goals matching Casey Welage who earned OVC Offensive Player of the Week honors earlier this season.
 
It was the Panthers first multi-goal match by a player since Sam Eccles had two goals in October 2022 against Southern Indiana.
 
EIU wraps up the OVC regular season this week with a match at Lindenwood on Thursday evening and hosting SIUE on Sunday afternoon.
