Eastern Illinois women's soccer posted its sixth straight shutout of the season on Sunday against Morehead State.  On Tuesday (Oct. 7), two players that played a key role in that shutout earned weekly Ohio Valley Conference honors.
 
Ella Kratochvil was named the OVC Goalkeeper of the Week for the second consecutive week.  Colleen Bauer was named the OVC Defender of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Kratochvil posted her seventh shutout of the season and sixth straight as she turned away five Morehead State shots on goal in a 1-0 Eastern Illinois victory.  The six straight shutouts are the most in school history and seven clean sheets this season moved Kratochvil into a tie for fourth on the EIU single season shutout list.
 
Bauer anchored the Panthers back line playing all 90 minutes as EIU posted its sixth consecutive shutout to move to 4-0 in the OVC this season.   EIU allowed five shots on goal in the win with most coming for MSU in the second half after the Panthers had built the 1-0 lead midway through the opening 45 minutes.
 
EIU improved to 4-0 in the OVC with their 1-0 win over Morehead State on Sunday.  The Panthers host Southern Indiana on Thursday before a Sunday contest at Southeast Missouri.
