Two Eastern Illinois players finished in double figures on Sunday afternoon as the Panthers headed into the Holiday Break with an 87-55 loss to Lindenwood in Ohio Valley Conference play.

The Lions jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the opening quarter before
Meioshe Mason was able to get EIU on the board with 6:32 to play in the quarter. Â

EIU would get the margin down to two points at 12-10 as
Clara Glad capped a 10-0 Panthers run with 4:55 to play in the first quarter. Glad finished with 11 points, one of two Panthers in double figures.

Lindenwood pushed the first quarter lead to 22-15 before shooting 75 percent in the second quarter to lead 43-27 at the break.

EIU was able to force 22 turnovers and converted those into 18 points off of turnovers. Glad,
Tiny Lewis and
Adriana Arroyo all finished with two steals for EIU.

Lewis led EIU's scoring for the day with 14 points. EIU finished the day shooting 32.7 percent from the floor.

Four Lindenwood players finished in double figures with Gracie Kelsey and Ellie Brueggemann each scoring 14. Lindenwood shot 63.2 percent for the game.

The loss sent EIU to 1-12 overall, 0-2 in the OVC. Lindenwood improved to 8-4 overall, 1-1 in the OVC.
