IOWA CITY, Iowa – Thursday marked day two at the Summit League Championships for the Eastern Illinois swim team, which was headlined by a pair of record-breaking performances from
Dismas Dillon and
Conner Colston.
Dillon finished fourth in the 50 free A-final with a school-record timeof 20.24, while Colston made his mark on the record books with a time of 1:51.06 in the 200 IM B-final.
On the women's side,
Corinne Staneart finished third in the 200 IM B-final with a time of 2:04.64, which is the second fastest time in EIU history.
Meanwhile,
Autumn Grinter posted a time of 23.90 in the 50 free B-final, which is fifth best all-time for the EIU women.
Both the men and women also posted all-time EIU top five times in the 200 free relay.
Autumn Grinter,
Izzy Glasgow,
Kaylan Ottosen, and
Corinne Staneart teamed up for a time of 1:35.42, which is the second fastest on the EIU all-time leader boards.
For the men,
Conner Colston,
Nolan Wallace,
Spencer Wilson, and
Dismas Dillon's time of 1:22.18 is third fastest all-time.
