Aleyla Wooten and
Michelle Kostadinova won their match at No. 1 doubles on Wednesday against Northern Kentucky, but due to playing shorthanded with four Eastern Illinois available players the Norse were able to coax the 7-0 win in a match played in Terre Haute.

Wooten and Kostadinova won 7-5 over Mariajose Hernandez and Darya Gneydina at No. 1 doubles. However, NKU won the No. 3 doubles match by default and clinched the overall doubles point with a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles.

In singles play NKU added points by default at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.

Two of the remaining four singles matches went to three sets before the Norse players were able to secure the wins.

Kostadinova lost in three sets to Gneydina at No. 3 singles. Gneydina won 6-2, 3-6, 10-6.

Ornella Lomenzo pushed her match at No. 2 singles to three sets against Ana Isabela Serrano before the NKU player won the third set. Serrano won 4-6, 6-2, 10-5.
