Eastern Illinois women's tennis dropped a tough match on Wednesday afternoon as the Panthers hosted Saint Louis in Terre Haute, Ind.

The Billikens won the match 5-2 dropping the Panthers to 2-5 on the season.

SLU won the overall doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions. The No.3 doubles match with
Charleigh Fay and
Emma Pilipovic-Kljajic playing for EIU was left unfinished after SLU clinched the point.

In singles play EIU captured points in the match with wins at No. 2 and No. 5 singles.

Ornella Lomenzo won her third match of the season beating Nicolly Ferreira at No. 2 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-4.

Luisa Renovales Salazar collected her third win of the season with a No. 5 singles decision over Elizabeth Choate. EIU won the point 6-3, 6-4.

EIU returns to action this Friday with a pair of matches against Bowling Green in the morning and Ball State in the early evening.
